1. Information Technology Research and Resource Center (ITRRC)

Information Technology Research and Resource Center (ITRRC), situated in Jagannath University, Dhaka-1100, Bangladesh, primarily finished its’  implementation as a research sub-project of Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP). The Implementing agency was University Grants Commission  (UGC) of Bangladesh and Financed by the World Bank and the Government of Bangladesh. Currently this center is conducting various activities (research, seminars, workshops, remote and on-class lectures, presentations etc.) through a research network called ‘ITRRC Research Fellows’.

2.  Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery (DMKD)

Objectives: Our research interest is on mining large-scale information and descover new knowledge from social networks, graph data, trajectory data, Gene data etc. The main goal of our research is data mining, database systems, machine learning, information retrieval, and network science, with a focus on designing novel problems and proposing scalable algorithms for different real-world applications, including but not limited to: social computing, social media analysis, recommendation, medical and health informatics, and Big Data analysis.
